Fall Brush Pickup - Monday, October 14, 2024
Brush should be placed at the edge of the street prior to 7:00 a.m. on pickup day. Public Works will work throughout the week to pick up all neighborhoods, so please have it by the street and ready, Monday, October 14th.
We would like to clarify some requirements for the safety of our Public Works staff:
- Public Works does NOT have a lift mechanism so all brush is picked up by hand
- Please do NOT include brush or branches that have THORNS
- Please do NOT stack the piles higher than 3 feet, that requires reaching and lifting from an unsafe height
- Please limit length of limbs to 15 feet.
- The entire brush pile should NOT exceed 3 feet high by 10 feet wide. Excessive amount of brush prevents Public Works from being able to service all residents.
Trunk diameter must not exceed 6 inches
Stack all brush neatly (parallel to each other) with trunks facing the street
Branches should be cleared from limbs prior to stacking to prevent excessive tangling
Due to limitations of the Village’s equipment, the following prohibited items are not collected:
Logs, root balls or dirt clumps
Bagged landscape waste
Brush in containers
Brush bundled with string or wire
We appreciate your cooperation, allowing us to continue this service for our residents.
