Election Packet Notice

 

Village of Lakewood independent candidate petition packets will be available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Village of Lakewood Village Hall located at 2500 Lake Avenue, Village of Lakewood, IL 60014 beginning Tuesday, August 25, 2026. There are three (3) four-year positions for Trustee to be elected at the Consolidated Election which will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2027.

 Independent candidates may begin circulating nominating petitions on August 25, 2026. Petitions for nomination are filed with the Village of Lakewood Village Clerk, Village of Lakewood Village Hall, 2500 Lake Avenue, Village of Lakewood, IL 60014. The filing period is Monday, November 16, 2026, through Monday, November 23, 2026, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding weekend days/holidays. On Monday, November 23, 2026 the filing period will be extended to 5:00 p.m.

 An Election Calendar and Candidates Guide will be available on the Illinois State Board of Elections website at www.elections.il.gov.
